HOK #20 – Denys Borysiuk

HOK20-Denys

Meet Denys Borysiuk.

“I enjoy life, I love the beach, I love to go rollerblading in the mornings. Right now, I’m just waiting for the laundry to be done. I was born in Ukraine, I’ve lived in Russia. I first lived around here 12 years ago. I moved to Quebec for awhile and then came back, I’ve been back here for two years now. It’s a great place to be. It’s a big world you know, why get stuck in one place too long?

I came here – to Canada – running away from the military, sort of, because I should be serving there. Every time I go back they tell me I should be serving there. Right now I just want to enjoy life, and I love it!” Collected by Ted Simpson

Humans of Kitchissippi is a special street photography project designed to introduce readers to some of the people who live, work, and play in Kitchissippi. Each instalment of HOK contains three elements: a photo, a name, and a quote from the subject that reveals a little bit about who they are. View our growing collection of humans right here.
